COMMUNITY OUTREACH

YOOUTHEATRE
The Youtheatre program provides community groups and service organizations with vouchers to select plays of the season, which typically includes those in the Student Matinee Series. In addition, participants receive study guides and a pre-show workshop from Actors Theatre teaching artists.

PEACE BY PIECE
This exciting new program for youth centers and schools is a drama-based approach to conflict resolution and peace education. Through an explorative process of creative drama, improvisation and playwriting, young people can better connect their inner life to outward action, leading to a greater sense of wholeness and wellbeing. By responding creatively, young people can imagine real-world implications of expressed ideas of justice and compassion for themselves and the communities to which they belong. Peace by Piece is a 10-16 hour classroom residency.
