EDUCATION DIRECTOR
Reports to: Associate Director
Department: Education


Summary of Position:
Actors Theatre has an immediate need for an Education Director to expand and develop innovative, curriculum-based programs for students and to successfully integrate programs with staff, volunteers, and educators. Responsibilities will include designing educational study-guides and teacher resources and creating artist-in-residence programs. Other duties include coordinating and facilitating attendance of school groups at student matinees in conjunction with the marketing and group sales departments, facilitating a teacher advisory committee, a docent program, tours of the facilities, in-school career days, and coordinating all activities that enhance Actors Theatre's commitment to education for the community.

PRODUCTION MANAGER
Reports to: Artistic Director

Summary of Position:
The Production Manager participates in the senior leadership level of the institution, contributing to long-term priorities and strategies of the organization; develops and maintains effective communication throughout the production departments of the mission, artistic vision and programming activities of the theatre.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

Summary of Position:
The Director of Marketing and Communications supports the highest strategic priorities of the theatre; expands, develops and maintains the theatre’s audience through effective communication of the mission, vision and programming activities; develops and executes the strategy to generate all earned ticket revenues for the theatre; and leads a staff of 9 full-time and 12 part-time professional and support personnel involved in marketing, publicity, sales (groups, telemarketing, festival), event rentals and graphic design.

MEDIA TECHNOLOGIST
Reports to: Production Manager
Department: Artistic


Summary of Position:
Actors Theatre of Louisville seeks Media Technologist (MT) to head Video Department. Media Technologist is responsible for all technical aspects of theatre video/multimedia production, including all production/administrative season programming needs requiring Video/Multimedia support. MT works w/resident and guest designers to realize multi-media design concepts, while designing and programming playback systems. Experienced MT may be afforded season design assignments. MT works in association with Communications Department to capture and edit video of productions, events and other theatre-related activities. Successful candidate has proven experience as department manager and experience w/video production, design and programming for live theatrical use, promotional broadcasts and website features. Full-time position w/benefits. Salary competitive. Start date June 2008.

MAINTENANCE STAFF

This position is responsible for identification, execution, and timely completion of facility repairs and maintenance programs of a multiple site, non-profit, performing arts theatre complex.

Actors Theatre's distinguished training program offers acting apprenticeships and a variety of professional internships in production and management. Full-time internships offer in-depth, hands-on administrative experience and are ideal for college graduates seeking transition from academia to the professional theatre or for individuals considering a career change.
